GOATS MATTER!
On May 18, seven high school teens joined together in our Ranch Hand Service Crew at the Mane Mission Ranch to design and construct a goat playground. Giant wooden cable spools, wooden pallets and wood scraps were donated from the community and these youth went to work! Later, a mentee and mentor from our Animal Lovers Volunteer Club built some steps. Today, the finished playground brings great joy and interest to some otherwise bored goats!
2023-24 YEAR IN REVIEW
Our Teen Advisory Board ended a successful year of collaboration and service. They gave a formal presentation to the The Aspen Effect (adult) board with suggestions on program improvement. They also manned some community event booths and gave feedback from high school students to the Douglas County SROs.
