Animal Lovers Volunteer Club

In this program, each youth is matched with an adult mentor who will work along side him/her to develop a friendship and facilitate reflection on how the experience they have together applies to real life. They might decide to clean the goat pen or halter and walk a mini horse. Cleaning a goat pen or walking a mini horse can teach us something about working hard, forming relationships and accepting difficult challenges. We can also have a lot of fun!

Minimum Requirements:

A donation per child by parent/guardian is requested but not required. If you can donate extra for a scholarship fund so that other youth can participate, please do!

  • Youth is fifth grade to high school age.

  • A completed application will be received. Click button above.

  • A parent agreement will be signed and submitted.

  • Youth will demonstrate respect to mentor, animals and facility.

  • Youth will promptly attend scheduled weekly meetup times.

  • Parent or guardian will stay connected with the mentor.

After the work is done, kids and mentors might choose to take a trail walk or spend time in our clubhouse, The Hangout, to create something awesome together. The heart of this program is building a trusted mentor relationship that allows the youth to learn important life lessons, share authentic thoughts and feelings and feel more confident in facing personal challenges.

10 session program. No fee required. Donations welcomed! Priority given to youth with higher needs.
